King Of New York EP

A 6 track house single (45m 28s) — released June 14th 2010 on Ism Records

Killer Whale are a 7 piece disco supergroup straight outta London, Uk Consisting of members from Faze Action, Yam Who? & Basement Jaxx, this is their debut release. 'Tell You (today)' written by Arthur Russell and originally released by Loose Joints in 1983 including Joyce Bowden (vocals) & Peter Gordon (saxophone) and both feature on this new version by Killer Whale. The hottest remixer in town, the eclectic Leo Zero has stripped the track to its bare bones and rebuilt to devastating effect and possibly his finest to date. Two other London residents Kid Circus & Tokyo's Free Disco have stepped up to reinterpretate another Russell classic 'Is It All Over My Face'. Kid's mix is raw late night funkathon, heavy on the drums and one of wonkiest basslines you'll ever get down to. Free Disco never disapoints in the dancefloor department and with his dreamlike dubbed out razer sharp rework this again rivals Larry Levan legendary mix. You can catch Killer Whale live in the UK and they will also headline the Garden Festival in Croatia this summer. Enjoy!
